BIO

Charlie started his journey playing drums when he was old enough to hold a pair of sticks. He started performing and recording in 1975. He is prolific at his craft of percussion. He has recorded, performed, produced and co-written music with an array of musicians in various musical genres including Blues, Funk, Rock , Country, Fusion and Jazz. Charlie has worked hard to master his craft by studying  percussion at the Drummers Collective in NYC in the late 1970's, and early 1980's. He has continued his development by attending Master classes and private studies with many great players including Joe Morello, Don Famularo and Michael Lauren. He devoted his time and skills as a teacher and teacher's Affiliate with the NDA , MAVIS and Vic Firth. His search to constantly hone his craft has lead him to attend theory and improvisational classes at Berklee College of Music and attend private classes in world percussion and African Djembe.

Thank you to all my mentors who have shared their in-depth and invaluable musical knowledge!
